SAN FRANCISCO RUGBY ACADEMY ANNOUNCES Fall Course 2010 at Treasure Island
The San Francisco Golden Gate Rugby Club announces that Fall Course 2010 will commence its Sunday October 17th registration and intake session. Who Should Attend The San Francisco Rugby Academy is designed for students entering grades eight through twelve next fall(ages 14-19). Recent High school graduates are also eligible to enroll.
About the Camps
The San Francisco Rugby Academy accommodates various age groups and skill levels to include beginners, and is designed to help players develop fundamental skills for playing more effectively as individuals and team members. Emphasis is placed on individual and positional skills as well as team skills and concepts. The camp features a high-quality staff of instructors and will also have guest coaches from top colleges and teams.
Enrollment is limited to 50 players, so early registration is encouraged. The sessions take place every Sundays from October 17th- Jan 15, with a start time of 9am. The trainings are at the SFGG rugby club and their facility on Treasure Island. Academy Highlights Interaction with Professional Coaches and a number of USA National Team players Skills development: evasive running, passing, tackling, contact skills Specialty clinics: kicking, lineout throws, scrum-half passing Film study and individual analysis of play Individual player evaluation and feedback Flexibility, strength training, and conditioning programs sports psychology.
Typical Session Schedule (subject to change):
9:00am - Meeting and video review
9:25am - Clinic - Rugby specific movement to include: Speed, Agility & Quickness Strength & Conditioning
10:00am - Training (Rugby Field)
11:15am-Positional work
11:40am Recovery and regeneration

Academy training top, Academy workbooks and other materials will be provided to all camp participants on the first day of Training. Fees and Registration The fee is $300 13 weeks and 26 hours of intensive instruction a camp shirt, and other training materials. Students who have the time and desire to engage the coaches for additional training are encouraged to do so at an agreed upon additional rate. To enroll an individual athlete in a camp, a parent or guardian must submit application via our online registration system.
The sessions are mandatory and we reserve the right to deny further participation to players who do violate attendance and participation policies. Enrollment is limited to 50 players, so early registration is encouraged. Those persons accepted will receive a letter of acknowledgment and notification of any program changes. Those not admitted will receive a refund. Walk-in registrations on the day cannot be guaranteed.
This year, the Academy has assembled an outstanding ensemble of coaches from various backgrounds, all of whom have coached and contributed to the development of rugby in the United States.

Cancellations and Refunds
All cancellations must be received in writing by mail, e-mail, or fax. Full refunds will be made for cancellations received at least fifteen days before the first session. For purposes of a refund, the postmark of the cancellation letter or the date stamp from the fax machine will determine the date received. Their will not be any refunds for those need opt out or to illness or injury.
